The Brass Band of Nashville was formed in November of 2008 by a group of brass players who simply wanted an opportunity to play in a British-style brass band.
The band was formed as a community band to provide both a playing opportunity and an additional entertainment resource for people in the Nashville area. Since we have yet to fill all of the British brass band instrumentation (Eb Cornet/Eb Tenor Horn for instance), we play music that fits our group. We have traditional Bristish style brass band pieces, brass quintet pieces and brass ensemble pieces; which include a lot of patriotic and religious music as well as a variety of popular music. We've even touched on country with an arrangement of Lee Greenwood's classic "God Bless the USA". As a result, the Brass Band of Nashville is a good choice for your community function or church service.
We are a nonprofit organization and our members are all volunteers. No one associated with the band is compensated financially. Our operations are financed by a nominal donation for our performances.
